Salmon Bay FC is the new USL W pre-professional women’s soccer team in Ballard and the women’s equivalent team to Ballard FC. Our inaugural season has concluded and we can’t wait for the 2026 season to start in May.
The Salmon Bay is a vital waterway that connects the communities around Ballard to the sea. Our name and badge design pay homage to this local landscape as a symbol of connection and growth.
The USL W League is the nation’s premier pre-professional league developing the next generation of women’s soccer talent both on and off the field. USL W is the equivalent of USL League Two on the women’s side. The USL W League strives to use women’s soccer as a force for societal good by creating a national platform to increase opportunity, gender equity, and career development.
While we are proud to share the same ownership group as Ballard FC, Salmon Bay FC has its own name, brand, and dedicated resources to ensure that our athletes and staff have the support that they need to thrive. To strengthen the ownership group for both organizations, we’ve added 25 new women owners. These women include professional soccer players, local business owners, and leaders within the local soccer community.
The USL W season happens in the summer, from May until early August. Salmon Bay FC began competing in 2025. Season Tickets for the 2026 season will be available this fall. Single match tickets and the full season schedule will release in February 2026. Join our mailing list for the latest team updates and news.
Just like Ballard FC, Salmon Bay FC plays home matches at Interbay Stadium. Interbay Stadium is a soccer-specific venue and will have a beer garden, food vendors, activities, and more for every home match.
Our roster includes top collegiate players, ex-professionals, and rising youth talent in Seattle. Our goal is to help players achieve their dreams of becoming professionals. Prospective players can come to open tryouts before each and every season.
