Kelsey Kwon is a first year player for Salmon Bay FC and part of our inaugural 2025 roster. Before college, Kwon played her club soccer for Crossfire Premier and the Seattle Reign Academy where she was ranked second in the Pacific Northwest region by TopDrawerSoccer. Kwon joined Northwestern University in 2021 as a freshman. Kwon played in 12 matches across her first two seasons and was part of a Northwestern team that made the Sweet Sixteen in 2022. Kwon sat out the 2023 season due to injury and then came back in 2024 as a redshirt junior where she played in all 19 matches, made her first career starts (6), and recorded her first assist. Then after a summer with Salmon Bay, Kwon returned for her senior season for the Wildcats which has been her best yet. As a senior, Kwon played in all 20 matches while making 11 starts. In addition, Kwon scored her first collegiate goal against Illinois while also assisting against Rutgers. Kwon and her team will head to the NCAA tournament for the second time in her collegiate career. This is Kwon’s final year of collegiate eligibility.
With Salmon Bay FC: Kwon played in six of 11 matches for Salmon Bay FC in 2025 while also making four starts. She scored her first goal for the club on the road against Bigfoot FC.
