It is finally matchweek for Salmon Bay FC. The club’s first-ever USL W League (USL W) match is on the road this Sunday at 2pm against West Seattle Rhodies FC.

It has been years in the making, and now it is time for Salmon Bay FC to start the inaugural campaign. Despite the match being on the road, it is the closest away day for Salmon Bay FC fans and a big crowd is expected for such a historic event for both clubs. West Seattle Rhodies is also new to USL W this season and so it will be the first competitive match for both sides on Sunday. Tickets to the match can be purchased here.
The 2025 Salmon Bay FC roster is composed of almost entirely local talent. 30 of the 34 rostered players either grew up in Washington state or played collegiately in the state, with 10 players doing both. To learn more about the inaugural Salmon Bay FC squad, read the roster deep dive.

West Seattle Rhodies

West Seattle Rhodies FC is joining Salmon Bay FC to form a duo of new clubs in the USL W Northwest Division. Their roster has a similar build, featuring players locally. The Rhodies are coached by Lyndsey Patterson, the wife of Salmon Bay FC head coach Malia Arrant.
West Seattle’s men’s team, Junction FC, started in 2024 and formed a friendly rivalry with Ballard FC. The same can be expected on the women’s side as both teams will be very familiar with each other.
Following this match, Salmon Bay FC will host their home opener next Friday May 30th against the Tacoma Galaxy with kickoff at 7:00PM. Don’t miss the inaugural home opener!
