In 2021, Ballard FC was founded on a vision of building community through soccer. Our owners, a group of local entrepreneurs and professional soccer players, are committed to making this vision a reality. Their diverse backgrounds and shared passion for the game have become an important element of the club’s success, and will continue to guide the club as we expand to include a women’s team. Here’s what makes this group so special.
Rooted in Community
Our ownership group consists of Seattle-based business owners and leaders who care deeply about creating positive, community-driven experiences and real impact. Through Ballard FC’s foundation work, local events, youth clinics, and fan meet-ups, our ownership group helps us create an inclusive environment where fans of all ages have greater access to the game.
Investing in Local Talent
Developing local talent is a critical piece of Ballard FC’s mission, and this will be true of the women’s team too. Working with local schools and soccer programs, we’ve established a pipeline of talent that we can’t wait to expand to women athletes. This investment in athlete development strengthens our team, and provides more opportunities for athletes to achieve their dreams at the professional level.
It’s Bigger than Sports
As our club continues to grow, it stands as a testament to the power of soccer to unite and inspire. Along with our ownership group, we are working together to build greater equity in sport. With Ballard FC’s success and the new women’s team, the future looks bright for the club and the community we proudly represent.
