Two years ago, Salmon Bay FC began with a vision to create another opportunity for women’s soccer in Seattle, celebrate local talent, and give players the opportunity to compete at a high level in front of a community that believes in them.
Today, we celebrate two years of Salmon Bay FC and the people who have made this journey so meaningful. What began as a vision has grown into a club embraced by an incredible community, united by a shared passion for women’s soccer and a commitment to creating opportunities for local talent to thrive.
Our second year brought moments we will never forget. In 2026, Salmon Bay FC earned the Northwest Division Championship, made our first playoff appearance, and went on to win the USL W League National Championship in our own backyard. Our season was also recognized through four incredible honors: Western Conference Executive of the Year, Western Conference Coach of the Year, Western Conference Organization of the Year, and USL W Player of the Year. We are incredibly proud of these accomplishments and grateful to everyone whose dedication helped make them possible.
Most importantly, this anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate the people behind our club.
To our season ticket holders who have supported us since the beginning, thank you for continuing to believe in Salmon Bay FC and showing up season after season. To the new fans who joined us this year, filled the stands at Interbay, and brought new energy to our matchdays, we are so glad you are part of our community. Whether you have been with us since our inaugural season or discovered us this summer, you have helped create an atmosphere that makes our players proud to represent this club.
To our players, thank you for the heart, determination, and commitment you bring to the pitch. You are at the center of everything we do, and watching you compete, grow, and represent Salmon Bay FC has been one of the greatest rewards of this journey. To our coaching staff, thank you for investing in our players and creating an environment where they can develop both on and off the field. Your leadership and belief in this group have helped shape a season we will always remember.
To our staff, volunteers, partners, and everyone working behind the scenes, thank you for the time, care, and countless contributions that keep this club moving forward. From creating memorable matchday experiences to supporting our players and strengthening our community relationships, your work makes a difference in ways both seen and unseen.
At the heart of Salmon Bay FC is a commitment to elevating women’s soccer and celebrating the talent in our own backyard. We are proud to represent Seattle, stay true to our identity, and build a club where women’s soccer receives the recognition, investment, and community support it deserves. Seeing that vision embraced by our fans and community has been just as meaningful as the milestones we have reached on the field.
As we celebrate our second birthday, we are reminded that Salmon Bay FC is about so much more than a season’s results. It is about the people who believe in this club, the connections built through soccer, and the opportunities we can create together. We are grateful for everyone who has played a part in our first two years and excited to continue building something special with you.
