Freya Spiekerkoetter is a first year player for Salmon Bay FC and part of our inaugural 2025 roster. Before college, Spiekerkoetter played for MVLA Soccer Club where she earned an invite to USYNT U-20 camp and won ECNL National Championships in 2018 and 2021. She joined Stanford in 2022 where she took a redshirt her first season as the Cardinals won the PAC-12 Championship. Then Spiekerkoetter played her redshirt freshman and sophomore seasons in 2023 and 2024 before joining Salmon Bay. She played in eight matches over those two seasons for a Stanford team that made it to the College Cup in back to back seasons. Then after a summer with Salmon Bay, Spiekerkoetter had her best season yet as a redshirt junior as she played in ten matches for the ACC Regular Season and Tournament Champions. Now, she and her team enter the NCAA tournament as the number one overall seed. Spiekerkoetter still has one year of collegiate eligibility left.
With Salmon Bay FC: Spiekerkoetter was a late add to the Salmon Bay FC roster but did make her club debut as she started against the Tacoma Galaxy on the road.
