Samiah Shell is a first year player for Salmon Bay FC and part of of our inaugural 2025 roster. Before college, Shell played her club soccer for PacNW Soccer Club and made ECNL Second Team All-League in 2021. She set Auburn Riverside High School’s all-time career goals record and made the 2022 All-America game. In college, Shell has played two seasons for the huskies. In her freshman season, she appeared in 15 matches off the bench. Then as a sophomore, she played in all 21 matches while making 20 starts. In those appearances, Shell racked up 5 goals and 3 assists to finish with the second most goals and points (13) on the team. Heading into her junior season, Shell was named a Big Ten Player to Watch and she ultimately would prove to be deserving of that preseason recognition as she played in all 21 matches and made 20 starts for the Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament Champions. Shell would also come in clutch for the huskies, scoring two goals in the Big Ten Tournament on her way to being named the Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player. Shell still has one year of collegiate eligibility remaining.
With Salmon Bay FC: Shell became the first ever Salmon Bay FC player when she was announced to the roster in late January of 2025. She went on to have a stellar summer where she led the team in scoring with six goals in just seven starts. Shell scored the first goal in club history against the Spokane Shadow in May and then she also scored the first hat-trick in club history in the season finale against Bigfoot FC.
