Sophie Hanay is a first year player for Salmon Bay FC and part of our inaugural 2025 roster. Before college, Hanay graduated from Bishop Blanchet High School where she was First Team All-Metro League in her senior season. She joined Seattle Pacific University as a freshman in 2024 where she played in all 19 matches. In addition to playing soccer, Hanay also runs track at Seattle Pacific. After a great freshman year, she joined Salmon Bay FC for the summer ahead of her sophomore season. As a sophomore, Hanay played in all 19 matches for the Falcons again but this time she made 18 starts and recorded her first collegiate assist. Hanay still has two years of collegiate eligibility remaining.
With Salmon Bay FC: Hanay played in five matches and made two starts for Salmon Bay FC in 2025. Her positional versatility was very valuable to coach Arrant as she played both left back and right back this past summer.
