Salmon Bay FC delivered a dominant performance under sunny skies on Sunday afternoon, earning a 6-0 win over Bigfoot FC at Tahoma High School.

The early kickoff saw the team in full attacking rhythm from the start, controlling the match from the opening whistle with sharp passing, clinical finishing, and steady defensive organization.
The breakthrough came in the 21st minute when midfielder Milly Bray weaved past two Bigfoot defenders on the right flank, cutting into the 18-yard box with poise before clipping the ball into the top left corner. Just minutes later, the lead doubled: following a well-worked team buildup in the 24th minute, Kelsey Kwon’s cross into the box took a deflection off a defender and fell kindly into the path of Amelia Severn, who struck first-time with her left foot into the top right corner.
The third goal showcased smart positioning and instinctive finishing from Samiah Shell in the 36th minute. A dangerous cross prompted a punch attempt from the Bigfoot goalkeeper, but the ball deflected right back to Shell, who calmly nodded it into the open net from close range. Shell wasn’t done yet—just four minutes later, she connected cleanly with a lofted cross to the back post, firing a one-touch finish with precision into the top left corner to make it 4-0.
Before the halftime whistle, Kwon added her name to the scoresheet. In the 43rd minute, she received a clever cutback cross near the top of the box, settled the ball, and fired through traffic into the bottom left corner. The halftime scoreline read 5-0.
At the break, Salmon Bay made several changes: Carly Whalen came on for Keeley Dockter, Chloe Seelhoff replaced Shell, and Tanner Ijams took over in goal for Elena Milam. The second half continued in Salmon Bay’s favor with measured control and deliberate possession, despite the large lead.
In the 64th minute, additional substitutions brought in Ella Hatteberg, Anna Menti, Sophie Hanay, and Aliyah Dockter to help maintain a strong and energetic presence across the pitch.
The final goal of the afternoon came in the 85th minute, when Chloe Seelhoff carried the ball into the box with confidence and unleashed a rocket into the top right corner, a shot the Bigfoot keeper had no chance of stopping.
A clean sheet, and six goals that featured a brace from Shell as well as four other goal scorers helped cap a well-rounded performance from the team. The backline remained composed, and goalkeeper rotation between Milam and Ijams kept Bigfoot FC from mounting any serious threat.
Player of the Match honors go to Amelia Severn, whose goal and assist in the first half helped set the tone for a dominant afternoon in Maple Valley.
With this result, Salmon Bay FC moves ahead of the Rhodies and takes sole possession of second place, still trailing FC Olympia who are off to a perfect start.
