Although it is the Salmon Bay FC offseason, the squad never stops playing. After an impressive inaugural season in the summer, most of the 2025 Salmon Bay roster returned to the classroom and their respective college programs. As we look ahead to the 2026 USL W League season, let’s see how everyone did this fall.
Locally, we had 15 players play their collegiate ball in the Pacific Northwest spread between the University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Gonzaga University, the University of Portland, and Western Oregon University.
At Interbay Stadium, Mercedes Cullen was between the pipes for Seattle Pacific and had her fourth straight All-Conference season as she received Greater Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) Honorable Mention recognition.
Then at Championship Field, U’i Kaaihue was lethal for the Seattle University attack. After being named a United Soccer Coaches (USC) Midfielder to Watch in preseason, Kaaihue would score seven goals and assist five times on her way to earning First Team All-West Coast Conference (WCC) and Second Team All-Region honors.
As we make our way to Montlake, we had five Salmon Bay Huskies who had great seasons for the University of Washington this fall as they won the Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament Championships. Alex Buck earned Fourth Team All-American, First Team All-North Region, First Team All-Big Ten, and Big Ten All-Tournament Team honors as she led the Huskies in points (23), goals (9) and assists (5). Joining Buck in the attack is Samiah Shell who was named a Big Ten Player to Watch in preseason and would then go on to earn Big Ten All-Tournament Team honors and be selected as the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
In defense, Maya Loudd received Second Team All-Big Ten and Third Team All-North Region honors while Anna Menti got a Third Team All-Big Ten nod. Between the pipes was Tanner Ijams who started in every match and was named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team.
Heading to eastern Washington, Amelia Severn led the Gonzaga attack in both goals (10) and points (25) as she earned First Team All-West Region and First Team All-WCC honors.
Down in Oregon, we had some more WCC standouts as the Dockter sisters starred for the University of Portland. Keeley Dockter earned First Team All-West Region and First Team All-WCC honors and was named the WCC Defender of the Year, while her younger sister, Aliyah, received Second Team All-West Region and WCC Honorable Mention recognition.
The All-West Region honors do not stop there as Montana’s Chloe Seelhoff earned Third Team All-West Region honors in addition to receiving First Team All-Big Sky recognition. Seelhoff and her Salmon Bay teammate, Carly Whalen, won the Big Sky Regular Season and Tournament Titles with Montana this fall.
Also on the West Coast is the Stanford Salmon Bay duo of Milly Bray and Freya Spiekerkoetter who won both the ACC Regular Season and Tournament Championships before making it all the way to the National Final in the NCAA Tournament.
In the South, Sadie Sider-Echenberg starred once again for the University of South Florida as she earned Third Team All-South Region and First Team All-American Conference honors after leading the Bulls in goals with six on the season.
As we head North on the East Coast we have a trio of Salmon Bay players who received end of season awards.
Kaya Hanson won a Big East Regular Season Title with Georgetown University and individually, she received Second Team All-East Region, Second Team All-Big East, and Big East All-Tournament Team honors.
Also receiving Big East recognition was Hannah Dickinson who earned Third Team All-East Region and Second Team All-Big East honors as Villanova University’s starting goalkeeper.
In New York, Maia Tabion received Second Team All-East Region, First Team All-Ivy, and Ivy League All-Tournament Team honors for Columbia University after leading the team in points (12) and assists (6).
All in all, 10 Salmon Bay FC players won conference championships this fall, with 12 players making the NCAA tournament. Additionally, 15 players received end-of-season honors, including one All-American.
