Salmon Bay FC’s first-ever USL W League home match is this Friday as they host the Tacoma Galaxy.

After a scoreless draw in West Seattle against the Rhodies in the season opener, Salmon Bay FC will be looking for the club’s first league win against the Galaxy.
A win on Friday would not be the club’s first-ever win however as Salmon Bay FC won a Memorial Day Friendly against Spokane Shadow SC. The hosts defeated their Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) opponents 4-0, securing a victory in the club’s first match at Interbay Stadium. Read the full recap here. With two straight clean sheets in the club’s first two competitive matches, Elena Milam and Salmon Bay FC will look to keep the shutout streak going on Friday. Now, let’s meet the visitors.
Tacoma Galaxy

Tacoma Galaxy are in their second year of USL W play. Much like their men’s team, The Tacoma Stars, the Galaxy have had an professional indoor team for awhile. Despite the same name, most of the Galaxy’s USL W players do not play for their indoor team. Instead, the roster is made up of mostly local college talent.
So far, the Galaxy have won their only league match of 2025, a 1-0 victory over Bigfoot FC. University of Washington’s Avery Nguyen scored the lone goal of the match. Her husky teammate, Malie Chamberland, was in goal and kept a clean sheet in their opening match. Nguyen and Chamberland will be players to watch for Coach Arrant and the Salmon Bay FC players.
