After defeating the Tacoma Galaxy 1-0 in the home opener on Friday, Salmon Bay FC will hit the road to take on Bigfoot FC on Sunday, June 1st at 2pm.

Friday’s home opener was special, Over 1,500 fans came to watch Salmon bay FC’s first-ever USL W League home match, which ended in success thanks to a Hallie Bergford penalty kick in the first half. Read the full recap here.

Bigfoot FC

Bigfoot FC are one of three new clubs in the USL W Northwest Division. So far, they are yet to earn a point and sit bottom of the table with a 0-3 record. Their most recent match was a 4-0 defeat to Lane United in Eugene. The club are yet to score a goal in any of their three matches, and will be looking for their first on Sunday afternoon.
With only one playoff spot in the division, Salmon Bay FC are looking to keep pace with FC Olympia and West Seattle Rhodies. Matches like today will be seen as a “must-win” by Malia Arrant and the rest of the coaching staff. Including Monday’s Friendly, Salmon Bay FC has scored five goals with five different goalscorers. It will be interesting to see who scores the majority of the club’s goals this season or if it will remain balanced throughout the squad.
Given the short turnaround from Friday, it will be interesting to see how Arrant rotates her roster for today’s match.
