After a dominant 9-1 victory in their home opener on Friday night, Salmon Bay FC are hitting the road to take on crosstown rivals, West Seattle Rhodies FC.
This Memorial Day weekend battle is a top of the table clash as Salmon Bay FC and the Rhodies are the only two perfect teams left in the Northwest Division. Salmon Bay FC is coming off a match in which they broke the club record for most goals in a single match (nine), and confidence will be at an all-time high heading into the match. However, the Rhodies are the only team in all of the USL W League to have a winning record against Salmon Bay and will look to keep that record intact this weekend.
West Seattle Rhodies FC
West Seattle Rhodies FC joined the USL W League in 2025 at the same time as Salmon Bay FC. The Rhodies finished third in the division standings in their inaugural season, just behind Salmon Bay FC.
Despite finishing behind Salmon Bay, Sunday’s hosts are undefeated against the visitors. In their first-ever matches, the two clubs played to a scoreless draw at Nino Cantu SW Athletic Complex. Then in the reverse meeting, the Rhodies won 1-0 at Interbay, scoring the first-ever goal against Salmon Bay FC.
With the Rhodies coming in atop of the most recent USL W Power Rankings, they will be favorites to stay undefeated against the visitors. However, with 2025 USL W NW Division Player of the Year Ginny Lackey coming off a hat-trick and leading the line for Salmon Bay FC, the visitors will look to score their first goals against the Rhodies en route to a a big win on the road.
So far, the Rhodies are 4-0-0, having played twice as many matches as Salmon Bay FC. The Rhodies have scored 15 goals across those four matches, while Salmon Bay FC have scored 13 in just two matches. With two of the best attacks in the league facing off, fans are in for a treat this weekend.

Following this match, Salmon Bay FC will play two more matches on the road, against Bigfoot FC and the Tacoma Galaxy respectively. The, the Salmon Sisters will finally return home on Saturday, June 6th for the opening match of a double header as Salmon Bay FC and Ballard FC host the Portland Cherry Bombs and Portland Bangers.
